2. No guarantee of results
The medical, aesthetic, and dermatological procedures offered by Velvet Aura are provided as an obligation of means and not of result, in accordance with article 7, paragraph 2, of Law 1480 of 2011 and with articles 15 and 16 of Law 23 of 1981.
Results vary according to the particular conditions of each patient and are not guaranteed. Velvet Aura does not guarantee specific results nor assumes result commitments derived from the content of the site or from conversations held prior to the consultation.
3. Foreseeable risk
In accordance with article 16 of Law 23 of 1981, the physician's liability for adverse reactions is limited to the foreseeable risk, that is, to that which the professional must foresee according to the state of medical science.
Before any procedure, the patient receives clear and sufficient information about the possible risks and complications, information which is formalized in the informed consent. The patient must read and understand said document before signing it and may ask all the questions they consider necessary.
4. Procedures not covered by the health system
In accordance with article 15 of Law 1751 of 2015, services whose main purpose is cosmetic or luxury are not financed with public resources of the health system.
Consequently, the aesthetic treatments offered by Velvet Aura are the patient's responsibility and must be paid according to the billing conditions informed before starting the treatment.
5. Advertising and result promises
Velvet Aura does not use misleading advertising nor promise certain results. In accordance with article 30 of Law 1480 of 2011, misleading advertising is prohibited and constitutes an infringement of consumer protection regulations.
The clinic's medical advertising complies with the ethical criteria established in the Law 23 of 1981, articles 55 to 60, which regulate the promotion of medical services in Colombia.
6. Patient images
Photographs of patients, including before and after results, are published solely with the prior and express authorization of the owner, in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012, and respecting the confidentiality of the medical record required by article 34 of Law 23 of 1981.
The images may not reflect the typical results of all patients and are published for strictly illustrative purposes.
7. Cosmetic products
The cosmetic products sold in the Velvet Aura store have the mandatory health notification (NSO) before the Invima, in accordance with the applicable Andean regulations.
These products have no therapeutic or medicinal properties. Cosmetic results vary according to each person and their use must follow the manufacturer's instructions and the recommendations of the healthcare professional.
