Here's an explanation of the treatment for benign tumors: A dermatological evaluation focused on identifying and classifying benign skin lesions.
During the consultation, we perform a comprehensive clinical examination of the skin and supplement it with dermoscopy, a technique that magnifies the superficial structures of the lesion without the need for a biopsy in most cases. We treat lesions such as moles or nevi, epidermal cysts, lipomas, seborrheic keratoses, skin tags, dermatofibromas, sebaceous hyperplasia, syringomas, and xanthelasma. This allows us to distinguish benign lesions from those that require further evaluation. When there is any diagnostic uncertainty, the dermatologist orders a biopsy or follow-up, always providing a clear explanation to the patient.
