Here's an explanation of cryosurgery: Liquid nitrogen is applied to the lesion to freeze and destroy it in short, controlled sessions.
Cryosurgery uses liquid nitrogen at extremely low temperatures to destroy abnormal skin cells. It is used to treat warts, actinic keratoses, molluscum contagiosum, and other benign or precancerous lesions. The cold causes the tissue to freeze, and it falls off naturally over the following days. It is a quick, outpatient, and highly effective procedure that generally requires one or two sessions, depending on the lesion.
