We explain the treatment of Premalignant Tumors: Tratamiento preventivo de las lesiones que presentan cambios precancerosos en la piel.
Premalignant lesions, such as actinic keratoses, are areas of chronic sun damage that can progress to skin cancer. We identify them through clinical examination and dermoscopy, and we treat them preventively with biopsy, excisional biopsy, cryotherapy, radiosurgery, chemical peels, and topical medications, depending on the case. The plan includes regular monitoring of sun-damaged skin and education on sun protection. Treating these lesions early prevents them from progressing to malignancy.
