Onychomycosis is a fungal infection of the nail that causes thickening, yellowish discoloration, and brittleness of the nail plate. During the consultation, we confirm the diagnosis through a mycological examination and determine the depth of the involvement. Based on the findings, we may begin treatment with topical antifungals or oral treatment under medical supervision.
